I'm working on year three as a cancer survivor and all is well!
I've become the go-to person for cancer treatment gift giving ideas. I thought this might be useful info to share with the world! These are things that I found helpful, they may or may not be appropriate for all.
SURGERY gifts...
- shawl or short soft sweater
- lip balm
- nice face cream
- vitamin E oil (good to rub on and reduce scars)
- soft tissues
- socks with the little sticky things on bottom to not slide
- hard candies
- lap desk
- blank notebook and/or pocket calendar to track doctors appointments
- thank you cards and stamps
- fun, spring garden or travel magazines
CHEMO gifts...
- big water bottle (side effects less intense if you super hydrate)
- lemon juice or alternate to flavor water
- ginger candy and ginger tea (great to combat nausea)
- hard candies for sore throat, chemo mouth
- lap blanket, travel pillow (although hosp blankets/pillows available)
- snacks, nuts, fruit, etc to bring on chemo day
- things to do during chemo, puzzles, magazines, knitting supplies, etc
- super soft hats, pretty scarves
- nice eye pencil to add detail when the lashes and eyebrows are gone
- mineral powder, big soft brush (blending face to hairless glowing orb)
- fun food coupons for the ride home (I'd crave milkshake or burger)
- nice shoulder bag to lug things to/from the chemo appointments
RADIATION gifts...
- Aquafor ointment, vitamin E oil, and sometimes olive oil for skin
- pretty hot or cold cup (daily ride to hospital)
- champagne to celebrate end of treatment!

Lovely idea here surely. When someone has been infected with cancer you have to be careful and sensitive and give a little more love and kindness to him or her.Because what medicine can not do you can with this little support.
I read about your blog and It inspired me that there must be some cure, still hidden from world and after hours of search on internet and books I finally found a very unique article written on breast cancer which tells me that breast cancer is curable. I found it useful but I believe that it can cure you, at least give it consideration http://stay-healthy-and-energetic.blogspot.com/2011/03/cancer-of-liver-bone-and-breast-cancer.html
Nice to know those possible gifts for a cancer patients. I admire you because you has a strong faith in your self and in God, you can really survive for it.
Good that you can think up such nice gifts. It is very kind to stand and support a cancer patient so that he or she can fight it better and that is what is needed for the disease.
